My cat has gastritis and won't eat. What bland food can I offer?

My cat was diagnosed with gastritis on Sept 2nd, he had been quite ill and off his food. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 5 years and 10 months old | 15 lbs

I am sorry to hear Merlin was diagnosed with gastritis.It is common for cats with gastritis to be on and off their food for a few days. You may try offering his a bland diet of boiled chicken, rice, and plain canned pumpkin (not pie filling) for a few days and see if he will eat a little of that. You may slowly introduce his normal food to him over the the course of a few days after a few days on the bland diet. I hope this has helped and best wishes to you and Merlin!
