Hello there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. From there description, Bugs may be dealing with a skin infection Or insect bite hypersensitivity. Mosquitoes and fleas can cause bad allergic reactions after biting a cat. Your vet may prescribe antibiotics and / or flea medication. I would get her examined by your vet to determine what the primary cause is so she can receive the most appropriate treatment. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I am also available via consultation if needed.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I think this is likely an unrelated issue and it does not have to do with the tail incident. I think this is likely a skin infection. This may be due to an underlying allergy. I highly recommend that you have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatments. At the very least, they would be able to start antibiotics for her. Good luck and have a good night!

The bump shown in the picture resembles the appearance of a benign skin tag or papilloma. These can occasionally become secondarily infected and cause the pet to become itchy at that spot. It is possible that Neema is experiencing an allergy to either something in her environment (pollen, dust mite, grass, etc.) or to an ectoparasite (fleas, mites). The response that you get when you touch her near her tail (begins to lick her fur) sounds like an itch response. Make sure Neema is on an appropriate flea preventative, and if the itching or losing hair continues she may need to be seen by her veterinarian for additional treatment to decrease her itchiness.

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I really think you need to take Lady Bird to the vet for an exam. This skin infection looks pretty serious and she will most likely need antibiotics to clear it. Without having more history and examining her myself it is difficult to say what is actually causing this issue. There are many different skin conditions and unfortunately, many can look the same which is why a vet exam is really important.
