Pet's info: Dog | American Bulldog | Male | neutered | 4 years and 7 months old | 30 lbs
My 4 year old male Olde Tyme Bulldog has been being sick for over a week now. But not continuously. He was sick with his regular dried food so I stopped it for 24hrs then gave him chicken and rice for a couple of days. Fine and no sickness so gave back the regular food and he was sick again. This repeated again but am now wondering if the regular food was simply too much for his stomach and should I have been introducing it gradually with the chicken and rice to build up to full meals?thank you

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I think it is a great idea to slowly mix his regular dog food in with the chicken and rice over a week and see how that goes. But first give him a good 3-5 days with JUST chicken and rice, then start mixing. If he starts vomiting with the regular food maybe you need to change brands of food. I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck!
