My cat has red sores on her belly. Is skin cream safe if she licks it?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 8 lbs

Cat has little red sores at base of belly near genitals keeps licking them, am I ok to try and put some yucare skin cream on them? If so as long as I put on just a little is it safe if she licks it afterwards? Thank u

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Pixie! It is ok if Pixie licks a little of it. It would be best to consider an E-collar to prevent all licking and to give the skin a chance to heal. I do recommend that if her skin isn't better in a few days that you have a Vet look at her. Hope this helps!
