Why is my senior cat drinking and peeing excessively, not diabetic?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 12 years and 2 months old | 12 lbs

my senior cat has been urinating & drinking excessively. the vet did a blood test & advised that my cat is not diabetic. However, I was not prescribed any medication. is there anything that I can do to control this problem??

It's definitely not normal, even if nothing showed up on the blood test. it could be a urinary infection for example, i believe a course of antibiotics could be a good idea to start with, but this needs to be prescribed by your vet.
