Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 1 year and 5 months old | 50 lbs
I found out my dog has a mild infection on her nipples, and paws. A vet gave me a shampoo and told me to wash her every 3-4 days. Now she keeps scratching and there is a cut on some of them. Is there a pill that can help cure this faster?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Kora! Since you were just at your Vet, I recommend calling them and discuss that she is not better and is worse. They will hopefully prescribe some medications for her, either prednisone or apoquel for the scratching and maybe an anti-histamine. She may also need an antibiotic. From your pictures her skin looks very itchy and irritated. It could be allergies or an allergic reaction. Sadly we at Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach are not allowed to prescribe medications or provide doses. The law requires a Veterinary-client-patient-relationship in order to do so. It order to have a valid relationship we need to examine the pet. We are always here for advice though! Hopefully your Vet can prescribe something over the phone today to help Kora, she needs it! I wish you the best and a speedy recovery for Kora!
