Why is my cat's tongue out, drooling brown, not eating or drinking?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 6 years and 7 months old | 13 lbs

My cats tongue is hanging out and she's drooling brown clear saliva she won't eat or drink and hasn't since yesterday

Sounds like there is a very good chance Marley has some sort of oral infection or dental disease. I would schedule an appointment to have her mouth looked at some time soon. They will be able to determine if the problem can be resolved with steroids and antibiotics, or if teeth will need to be extracted. Hope this helps.

    I would be worried Lenny might have a wound or a tumor in her mouth. A tooth problem would be another possibility. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her mouth as soon as you can since she is not eating or drinking - she could get dehydrated quickly.

    Poor Jade. She may be experiencing mouth pain due to a bad tooth, ulcer or lesion on the tongue, inflammation of tissue in the mouth known as stomatitis, or trauma to her mouth/jaw. I would suggest that you gave your vet take a look and do a good oral exam to see what is going on.
