My puppy hit his head, is vomiting, and lethargic. What to do?

Hello, My 3 month old puppy dog got a serious blow to back of the head/neck area. It's twelve hours after the accident now and he can walk around a bit, eat, drink, however, he pukes out everything after an hour or few. There's tiny traces of blood in his poo. Not sure if his eyes are dilated. He doesn't appear struggling to move his head freely, but there's still something off about his positioning when he lays down. Otherwise, he is happy when he sees me, but prefers to lay still or sleep.

This definitely sounds like there is damage to the brain. It is really best if you can take Carbon in to see the vet. Head trauma can cause severe damage to the brain and cause it to swell. This swelling can quickly become life-threatening as the brain swells beyond the capacity of the cranium. The veterinarian will be able to check for signs of serious brain damage and can give medication to decrease swelling.

Poor guy. There really isn't anything you can do for this at home unfortunately. He really needs to be seen by a vet to be evaluated. It is possible he has some internal injuries from the incident. Here is a financial website with lots of links for assistance. http://m.humanesociety.org/animals/resources/tips/trouble_affording_veterinary_care.html I hope that Carbon is able to make a full recovery. Best wishes and take care.
