My dog hasn't pooped all day, and his last poop was slimy. What to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 4 months old

Hi my dog hasn't poo'd all day. He ate thrice and been 15h since his first meal of the day. Usually he goes after 2-3h after every meal but hasn't done it once today. (Same feed same amount). He has excercised a lot as well. Yesterday night he did it after his dinner and the next morning messed his crate with a HUGE pile even though he didn't eat anything after dinner. It was covered in some sort of a slime light coloured. Since then he hasn't poo'd. Is it worms ? What to do?its his bedtime now

Hi there and thank you for your post! If you are able to, I would get his stool looked at by a veterinarian. If he is having inconsistent bowel movements, it could also be diet related. I would add fiber to his food such as canned pumpkin and see if this helps normalize his stool. You can also try switching to a completely different dog food and see if this helps. If his stool looks abnormal though, I would bring a sample to your vet to have it looked at to ensure there are no intestinal parasites that need to be treated. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I am also available via phone or text consultation.

I am not exactly concerned if Max has not defecated today as long as he defecated yesterday. However, if he is having diarrhea or abnormal defecations(like mucus) on the feces I would recommend testing him for parasites and possible even a mild virus. I would recommend taking him to a vet due to his young age for a fecal exam and possible deworming based on the results. Hope that helps
