My unspayed cat has vaginal crust and white discharge. What's wrong?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 7 months and 15 days old | 0 lbs

My 8 month old unspayed cat seems to have developed a crust or something of the sort around her vaginal opening, along with what appears to be a white discharge, just wondering what the possibilities are. She doesn't seem to be in any pain or have problems going bathroom.

Good question. Some possibilities are a skin infection around the area, a vaginal infection, and urinary tract infection, hormonal changes, and many more. It isn't normal to have a crust there though, so I would get her seen. I also recommend getting her spayed. Good luck.
