Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Female | spayed | 3 years and 6 months old | 75 lbs
Mon- Peed inside. Peed freq. all morning. Started peeing normal frequencies by the afternoon with a tiny bit of blood at the end of each stream of urine. Tues- Normal bathroom usage. At the end of each urination, a hint of red blood came out with the pee. Wed- Same as Tuesday Thu- Peed normally, no blood in urine. She hasn't ever strained with urinating. Infections usually get worse, correct? She seems better now. Can a problem like this go away naturally?

The body can clear a UTI without medical treatment, but it isn't common. Other causes for blood in the urine include inflammation in the bladder, urinary bladder crystals or stones, cancer, or bleeding/clotting disorders. I would recommend that Ruby be checked out by a vet for urinary stones as they are the most common cause for off and on blood in urine. If she has stones, depending on the type, often changing to a stone dissolution diet or surgery will be recommended. Stones can get very large and cause significant pain even if dogs don't show it!
