Usually it's something she ate that would be causing this, or a mild gastrointestinal infection. it could also be a sign of intestinal worm infestation. if it starts happening on a regular basis i would recommend taking Baybee to the vet in order to get it checked and treated.

Mucus in the stool can occur for a number of reasons, most of which are derived from irritation in the colon. Softer stool with mucus can because by and large variety of issues, including parasites, gastroenteritis from viruses or eating new foods, inflammatory bowel disease, food allergies, among other issues. Since BayBee has had so many bouts of soft stool with mucus in a five minute period, it would be best to take her to her vet for an exam, stool sample test, and any other necessary diagnostic tests. From there, her vet will be able to determine if she is well hydrated, and if other medications are necessary at this point. You can also try feeding her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken and white rice for a few days. After this time, gradually mix her normal dog food in with the chicken and rice over another 5 to 7 days. I hope that all goes well for BayBee and that she feels better soon!
