my cat is discharging drops of blood from her vaginal area all over my house except her litter box, is that her period and what should i do. Pet's info: Cat | Norwegian Forest Cat | Female | unspayed | 10 months and 6 days old

Cats are induced ovulators so they dont have regular periods, they ovulate when they mate. Therefore I feel that there will be another cause for this bleeding. Possibilities would be a bladder infection or damage to the vaginal tract. In some cases masses can cause bleeding but this is less common especially in a young cat. If she is bleeding a lot and in discomfort I would take her to the vet noe, but certainly she will need an appointment within the next 24 hours at least.
