I would consider trying a new food with a new main ingredient- eg if your dog eats mainly a chicken based food, I would try lamb or venison. If it continues or if your dog also has other signs of concern- like itchy ears or skin, licking at paws, diarrhea etc, then it could be a food allergy and your vet may recommend a prescription food.
