Try to keep the area clean and dry and make sure Toby isn't licking at it (if he is you can put an e-collar on for a few days). Usually little scrapes will heal on their own but if it isn't healed in the next 48 hours I would talk to your veterinarian who may want to get a better look at the area and may prescribe medicated cleaning products, antibiotics, and even pain medication if it seems to be bothering Toby. Best of luck with your buddy, I hope this is helpful!

It looks like your dog has a localized skin infection called a lick granuloma, most likely caused by allergies or fleas. The allergies can be from a protein in his food or to something in the environment, like grasses, pollens, dust, etc. I would recommend taking Toby in to see the vet so he can be started on some antibiotics to help clear up his skin and get on a good flea control. I would also recommend discussing with your vet some options for medication to help control her allergic itch like Atopica, Apoquel, or Cytopoint. You may also need an Ecollar to prevent further licking of the area.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Mesko. He appears to have a small wound with a scab. This could be the result of trauma, an insect bite or seasonal allergies. Place an E-collar on him if he tries to lick the area. It should heal in a few days. If it is not healing or if he develops more lesions, then he should see his veterinarian. I hope this information helps!
