My hamster's paw is swollen after vet. What should I do now?

my hamster has a swollen hand. i just took him to the vet three days ago and they gave him some Meloxicam. He's still walking and running and eating and drinking. what can i do to treat his swollen hand?

Max is super cute! I don't think I would worry too much about the swelling if he is using the "hand" and is eating /drinking and acting normally. The Metacam is an anti-inflammatory and if that did not help then likely nothing else you will do will help either. Just monitor it for any increase in swelling. If you notice that or if he stops acting normally or stops using running around then take him back to your vet. He may need an xray. I hope this helps. Best wishes!
