My dog seems pregnant and overdue, but the vet says she isn't. Why?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | 2 years and 2 months old | 5.6 lbs

Hi I have a female chihuahua weight 5.6 pounds and she bred on may 1st and may 4th and she is now 79 tomorrow 80 days pregnant and she got milk day 65 did felt a puppy move in her not sure if she is pregnant she is overdue took her to a vet they said she is not pregnant?

I cannot tell if Obina is pregnant based on the pictures provided. If she is only 2 months old as you put in the description she is very likely not pregnant as she hasn't gone through sexual maturity yet. If that is incorrect, it is still unlikely that she is pregnant as most dogs will give birth around 65 days post breeding. Your vet would have been able to see puppies on an x-ray 45 days after breeding. Lastly, some dogs can go through a pseudopregnancy and even lactate even though they aren't pregnant. That will usually resolve on its own.

    If you took her to a vet and they did an ultrasound or x-ray and did not see any puppies then she must not be pregnant, especially since she would be 80 days pregnant. She may have been experiencing a false pregnancy if she was lactating and showing other signs of pregnancy.
