My dog has a bleeding growth on her leg. Is it a tick or skin tag?

I found what I 1st thought was an engorged tick at the top of her left leg. Since I 1st thought it was a tick I tried to remove it. Sadly I couldn't shave the area for a closer look. As I tried to remove what I thought was a tick, pieces of it came off but there was no "popping" & burst of blood. I began to think it wasn't a tick. It bleed a little bit. What is it? What should I do? I stopped trying to look at it through all her fur because she squealed in pain. She is a 14yr old Dalmatian mix.

This looks like a skin tag or wart. It is harmless and shouldn't cause your dog any issues. I would recommend just leaving alone for now. If it does start to bother your dog you can always talk to your vet about having it removed.
