Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 6 months and 8 days old | 74 lbs
I noticed on our 7 month old females back right ankle, there is a lump and when I feel it, it is hard, almost feels like hard bone extending off ankle bone down the side of her foot but all attached. Hard to explain. It seems bigger from a month ago.

Since it is growing, it best to have a vet check her and possibly x ray it to see if it is associated with the bone. From there they can aspirate some cells to see if it scar tissue from an older injury or a tumor of some sort.

Poor Skinny! This definitely sounds like a little local infection or it could be a benign tumor called a histiocytoma. A histiocytoma will usually regress on its own but it can take a few months to do so. With her age, a malignant tumor is possible but unlikely. Since it is getting bigger and she is trying to chew it off, I would strongly recommend to have a vet take a look at it. I would also put a cone collar on her to prevent her from chewing. Chewing will only make it worse. You can also try some benadryl twice a day to control the itching. See link below. Your vet will be able to put her on some antibiotics if needed and even surgically remove it if it looks concerning. I hope this helps! https://www.petcoach.co/canigive/dog/benadryl/#!
