My dog has a lump on his neck by the jawline. Should I worry?

Lump on left side on his neck by the jaw line he is four years old

Hi there. A picture would be helpful if you can upload one. A few things come to mind here: inflamed lymph node, abscess, salivary tumor, reaction from a sting or bite, etc. it depends on how long it has been there and how rapidly it is growing. yoir veterinarian will be able to take a sample from the area and make sure it is nothing bad (like cancer, a tumor, etc) and give you an appropriate treatment plan afterward.     If this lump is under the jaw it could be an enlarged lymph node. A lump can be anything from an abscess to a tumour. Because of the potential for being a lymph node I would have this lump tested as soon as you can. There is a type of cancer called lymphoma that would be best ruled out.
