Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 21 days old | 7.716 lbs
I have been feeding my puppy, Royal Canin maxi junior for the last 1 month. Currently she weighs 7.5kgs. For the last 2-3 few days she has not been eating her food with the same excitment as she used to eat before. Instead, she now likes eating carrot, mango, cucumbers, yogurt and ice cubes. The dog food is fresh and not stale. Please help on this problem. Also suggest a proper diet chart for our puppy.

She will not be excited about her dog food if you give her human food. You will need to stop giving her anything but her regular dog food (an accasional ice cube in hot weather is fine). Now that she has tasted the "good stuff," it may take a few days for her to realize that she won't be getting it any more, and may hold out for goodies. Your dog has decided what her diet will be, but that's not her job . . . it's yours. Stop feeding her the human treats. Put regular dog food in a bowl on the floor without fuss and leave it for 15 minutes. After that time, pick it up whether she has eaten or not. Do not give her anything--no treats, snacks or human food--until her next scheduled mealtime. Then repeat the process. It may take several times for her to realize that there will be no more fancy stuff, and that she must eat her food. Remember that you are not starving her–she is choosing not to eat. When she is hungry enough, she will. Do not give in or "feel sorry" for her. It will only make it harder to correct. She must have a nutritionally complete diet, and what she is eating now is not sufficient.
