My dog is throwing up, has bloody poop, and won't drink. What to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Male | neutered | 19 lbs

My Dog is a 1 year old Maltese poodle and recently has thrown up twice and pooped with difficulty the first time and the second time it had very little blood. He recently hasnt drank much water. I have been giving him stomach massages and he seemed better, however I'd like to know what caused it and what i can do to help him recover.

It sounds like your dog has gastroenteritis, an inflammation/irritation of the stomach and GI tract. This could be from intestinal parasites, something he ate that didn't agree with him, or a virus. He is probably having difficulty pooping because he is becoming dehydrated from the vomiting and not drinking. I would recommend withholding food for 12-24 hours. If he is still not doing well after then I would take him in to be evaluated by your vet. He may need some nausea medication and fluid therapy.
