Puppy vomiting? How to determine age & if she's ready for vaccines?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 11 days old

Hello I just got my golden retriever puppy. From what I was told by the previous owner she is suppose to be 7weeks old. I think she is way younger then that maybe 3-5 weeks old. She is trying to eat solid food but she vomits occasionally what else I can give her?. She has an appointment for her first set of shots this Saturday but now Im wondering how can I determine her age and is she too young for vaccines?! Please help

Hi there! America is a very cute pup! Your vet will check before giving vaccinations her approximate ageby her teeth. If you changed her food from what the previous owner gave her she may be having an upset tummy. She may also have intestinal parasites-your vet will also check for these on your first visit! hope this helps put you at ease!
