What dog breed and training is best for an anxiety service dog?

So, I'm getting a service dog soon, for my anxiety, we are moving soon, so I have no idea if house or apartment. What dog should I get for this? Is it better to buy trained, or self train? What traits do they need? (I'm fine with links)

Some dogs that are used for anxiety are not counted under the same laws as service dogs such as for the blind or deaf, and so may not be allowed in certain locations. Making sure it is OK to bring an emotional assistance dog to your new location is best. Seeking out local groups in your area is also a good idea to see if there are places that either train dogs for your needs, or can help you through training. Self training is not recommended as there are a lot of complex behaviors that may need to be taught, and having the assistance of a professional who has trained service animals before is best for success.
