My diabetic dog suddenly can't chew or walk. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 8 years and 9 months old

Callie is diabetic, it is being managed with insulin. She suddenly stopped being able to chew last night and this morning she couldn't walk.

Poor Callie! These are concerning signs, especially in a diabetic pet. She may have having complications related to her diabetes (hypoglycemia, diabetic ketoacidosis, etc.) or this may be an unrelated problem - regardless, she needs to be seen by a vet right away to find out what's wrong. You can try giving her some honey or Karo syrup by mouth in the meantime in case it's related to low blood sugar, but I would still definitely suggest taking her to the vet even if she improves with this, since it's important to determine why this happened.
