My 6-week-old kitten has no food. What can I feed her instead?

I have a 6 week old cat, is it time for her to eat? There's no one selling cat food in our town. What should I feed her instead?

Boiled chicken or white fish and rice is a good quality and very digestible diet. You can even add some boiled vegetables (carrots, potatoes for example; make sure you do not give toxic ones like garlic or onions though!). Good quality commercial diets (Royal Canin or Hills for example) are the most balanced ones; so in the long run I would recommend to choose those instead of home made diets.

You can order cat food over the internet, if you buy a reasonable quantity it should last you for at least 3 months. Feeding home made food is not recommended as it tends t be unbalanced, but she should definitely start eating wet kitten food followed by dry kitten food in a couple weeks.
