Why is my young dog limping on her front leg? What should I do?

Our young dog is limping on her front right leg and we are not sure of the problem. She has always been very athletic. We clipped her claws

It could be a sprain, it could also be a joint disease or injury. Keep her strictly rested for 4-5 days, if no improvement by then- take Dixie to the vet in order to get that checked, she might need an xray done or maybe just pain killers will be prescribed.
