Almost 5 week old kitten has a pink swollen eye and dark marks on face on fur & patches of fur gone on head. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 1 day old

Poor kitten. It sounds like Emmett has an eye infection and possible skin infection as well. There are unfortunately no over the counter eye treatments for pets, so this will have to be seen your vet to treat. The best you can do for now is to remove any gunk or debris from the face with a warm wet cloth and apply Neosporin to any sore areas on the skin (not the eyes). An over the counter eye rinse can also be used to soothe the eyes, but this isn't often tolerated well in young kittens. I suspect that a fungal infection may be present and a conjunctivitis (eye infection).
