Hi there my dog(pug,6months) has a lump that looks like it's hanging from his jaw line. It's kind of hard but sort of soft. It formed this afternoon. He isn't in any pain . Do you think it could be a saliva ball and is it dangerous ?thank you. Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 14 days old

At that age a salivary problem is not common but always a possibility. It may be a small abscess or fibrous tissue from where it is trying to heal. If this is not painful and he is able to eat and drink I would monito it for any changes. If it gets bigger or starts to drain or he stops eating then I would take him to your vet.
