Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 32 lbs

My 6 month old pit bull was diagnosed with Parvo Tuesday. She has not stopped drinking water on her own and pedialyte. She will not eat anything hasn't since Tuesday. Sometimes she just stands with her head down and looks so sad. She is down to vomiting just twice today diarrhea is starting to stop and is a little more solid. She is on Amoxicillin and meds for nause from the vet. I haven't seen but just a small amount of blood in her stool and that was yesterday. What is her chances of surviva

Chances of surviving parvovirus are 50/50. If her vomiting and diarrhea are getting better, this may be a good sign. She does need to eat though. Things you can try are boiled chicken, hamburger, or turkey. You can also try scrambled eggs, low fat cottage cheese, chicken or turkey baby food (they tend to really like this). Rotisserie chickens are also very tasty to them. Add some rice to whatever you feed Sassy. I hope she gets better! And keep giving her as much fluids as you can!
