My dog's dewclaw is swollen, inflamed, and he's limping. What to do?

My dogs dewclaw area is swollen. He my have hurt jumping off the bed. It's not broken or bleeding. Just very inflamed and limps a little but not always. What to do?

It looks like he might have a nail bed infection. You could soak his paw in a warm Epsom salt solution and see if that helps. Otherwise, he should be examined by a vet for treatment. He might need an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory to treat.
