My cat just started vomiting out of nowhere. She is perky and active, and there is no diarrhea. Vomit is usually stomach acid. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 3 lbs

If she is otherwise acting fine, you could withhold food for 12 hours and see if the vomiting stops. If so, offer a small amount of a bland diet, like i/d or just some boiled chicken breast and see how she does with that. If the vomiting continues then she needs to be examined by a vet to determine the cause and treat. She could have an infection, parasite, etc. and your vet can run some lab-work to help diagnose and then prescribe medications to help stop the vomiting.
