My 8-month-old puppy has diarrhea. What should I do at home?

My dog is 8 month and as i woke up to find out rolo had diarrhea though the night but today hes been fine a bit tired but nothing unusual i did not feed him all day but did give him water after 6pm i gave him a small amount of food but he has been fine but just as i was going to bed he has some diarrhea again it might be beacuse he was drink water out my kids pool or he eat some grass and mud in my back garden but i dont no what to do ? Poo is not got blood or mucus just diarrhea what should ido. Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Male | neutered | 7 months and 25 days old | 7.4 lbs

I'm sorry Rolo has been having diarrhea! It could be that he ate something out in the garden causing the diarrhea, or he could have a GI illness. I will give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps him. Withhold food for 8-12 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, he starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.
