My senior dog has a chest lump that hasn't grown. Should I see a vet?

Hi my eight year old black Labrador Sheba has a bump about the size of a nickel on her upper chest and about every year I visit my grandma because it's my grandma's dog and I think the bump has been this been the same size for 2 years now but I'm just generally concerned about her because I don't know if I should take her to the vet or not...the photos i just took right now cause its 10pm and shes tired

Hi, older dogs often can get benign lumps called lipomas, or fat deposits. If it is soft and moveable and it is more likely to be this. If it is hard or red or growing, it should be seen by a vet very soon. Either way, a vet can take a sample of it with a needle and check under a microscope to see if it is something to be concerned about. If it has not grown in 2 years and Sheba is acting like her normal self, it is likely not concerning. I hope this helps, good luck!
