My puppy has bloody stool and isn't eating. Is this an emergency?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 30 days old | 10 lbs

My dog bailey isn't doing very well she likes to eat canned cat food and dog food and now she won't have any stool just blood the fastest we can get her into the vet is tomorrow what should I do??

I would try to see your vet on an emergency basis today if at all possible. Bloody stool and not eating in a very young puppy could indicated something serious going on like Parvo. Bailey will need to be tested for Parvo and if positive, will need to be treated with antibiotics, nausea medication and fluids to prevent dehydration. The sooner you get her treatment started the better. Good luck.

    This is a medical emergency, and Tofu needs to see a vet now. I'd be extremely concerned that she has parvovirus, which is a life threatening infection of young unvaccinated puppies. Parvo is very often fatal, and it does not have a cure, only supportive treatments can be administered. She needs veterinary treatment immediately, please take her into a vet now.
