I would be concerned as well. Alfie may have an anatomical problem such as megaesophahus which is typically caused by another condition called myasthenia gravis (a neuromuscular disorder). Other possibilities is an underlying slow progressing liver problem, acid reflux disease (common), inflammatory bowel disease or even cancer has to be considered. I would suggest starting with baseline bloodwork analysis and a chest + abdominal x-ray to evaluate the esophagus, stomach and intestines. You should fine clues there as to why Alfie is having so many frequent bouts of vomiting. I hope that you get to the bottom of what is causing this and hopefullyit is something that can be managed well with a diet change and medication. Best of luck with Alfie. Take care.

Poor Alfie! Scheduling a vet visit is a good idea, as it can help determine what is causing his vomiting. As vomiting is a very vague symptom. possible causes can include internal parasites, food allergies, GI upset, illness, obstructions and even functional issues with the esophagus or stomach. A full workup from your vet can help narrow down possible causes so that Alfie can get to feeling better. You can try a bland meal of boiled chicken and rice to see if it stays down, however if the vomiting is continuing, a vet visit is needed.

Vomiting, even if it happens only occasionally, is something to investigate. Even though he does not appear ill it would be a good idea to take Alfie to your vet for a thorough exam and baseline bloodwork to ensure that all of his organs are functioning appropriately. They may recommend an abdominal x-ray to ensure his stomach and intestines do not contain foreign material or show any other abnormalities. Depending on the cause, a veterinarian can advise further on a good diet for him and prescribe anti-nausea medications as well. I hope he feels better soon!
