My cat has itchy skin and bumps after vet visit. What's wrong?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 2 years and 6 months old | 12 lbs

Hi! My 2 1/2 year old cat has been licking and scratching her front right paw, to the point where she has no fur and bloody lumps and bumps. I don't see her scratching there, but her neck has a lot of the same lumps and bumps, and just now i noticed a few near her ear. I have been to the vet's and they say it isnt any type of bug. What can I do to relieve her itchiness? Should I go back to the vet's because thtings aren't working out on there own...

I would recommend taking your kitty to your vet again. I would be suspicious your kitty could have miliary dermatitis which can be the result of many different causes, including parasites, insect bites, allergies and more, these kitties usually need a steroid to help get the itching/inflammation under control.
