Why is my 7-week-old kitten sneezing with watery eyes and diarrhea?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My kitten is 7 weeks old. I got her a couple days ago. She has watery eyes, diharrea and sneezing. She just started eating wet food and came off milk. She will not eat dry. What could this be?

Hi. Congrats on your kitten! Sounds like she could have a mild upper respiratory infection, or allergies. The diarrhea could be from the food, stress, or even parasites. I would get her fecal checked for parasites and get her treated by your veterinarian for a possible upper respiratory infection. She is old enough for dry. You can add wet food to the dry to help, you could try a couple different brands as well. Also, she could be being stubborn and waiting out for the wet food. Good luck..
