My Shih Tzu's eye ulcer got worse and is very painful. What to do?

hi my shihtzu got an ulcer about a week ago, took to vet and got remend drops corneal repair and vetropylycin oitment, have been applying BID. everything looked fine this morning, seemed to be healing then all of a sudden my dog screamed and liquid came out of eye. I looked and it had gotten more red, cloudy, and seemed sunken in. he is now squinting and seems very painful. what could have caused this and what can I do?

It sounds unfortunately as though your dog has a corneal perforation- where the ulcer has gone through all the layers of the cornea and created a hole into the anterior chamber of the eye. This would be considered an emergency situation and if you have any desire to save your dog's eye from requiring surgical removal you should take him to the emergency clinic right away.
