My healthy dog won't eat. What can I do for a picky eater?

Hello - I have a 1 1/2 year old male Havanese/Maltese mix who is just not very interested in eating. He's never been a huge eater, but it's getting harder and harder to get him to eat. We've tried numerous types of food (currently it's Natures Variety) and I've out everything from chicken to sweet potatoes cheese on top to get him to eat. The only food he consistently ate was FreshPet raw food, and our vet doesn't like raw diets. He's happy and healthy in every other way! Any suggestions?

If you have time and are willing you may consider making his food. but you need to ensure it is a balanced diet. You can go online to balanceit.com and find a recipe suitable for him. You may also consider putting him on a canine multivitamin to ensure he is getting all the nutrients he needs. Small dogs are picky eaters! I hope this helps.
