Why is my puppy vomiting worms, lethargic, and has skin/eye issues?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

My puppy is about a month old we got her about 4 days ago, she vomited worms and doesn't get up, we force feed her water, and has pustules on her tummy and a small one near her eye, also lots of discharge in her eyes and looks sickly, hoping she makes it through the night so we can rush to the vet in the morning

Poor Nessy! I hope she made it through the night. It sounds like she has a large number of intestinal parasites (worms) which may be why she is lethargic and vomiting worms. It also seems like she may have a bacterial infection in her skin. If you haven't already I would recommend an exam and diagnostics by your vet. Your vet probably will want to run a parvo test (a serious viral infection that can cause vomiting and diarrhea) and a fecal. They will likely put her on some antibiotics and a dewormer. If she has parvo then she will likely need to be hospitalized for more extensive therapy.
