We can start vaccinations for parvo as well as canine distemper, adenovirus, and parainfluenza (often called the DHPP shot) starting at 6 weeks of age. This vaccine is boostered every 3 to 4 weeks until the puppy reaches around 16 weeks of age.

Yes a puppy can receive his first vaccine for distemper/parvo at 6 weeks. If you start their vaccines at 6 weeks the next vaccines are due around 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks. They are not fully protected against parvo until their last vaccine in this series at 16 weeks. You can also start deworming puppies by 6 weeks.

It will not be effective. They will still have maternal antibodies present in their system, and this will interfere with the vaccine uptake. They will not be old enough to receive the parvo vaccine until they are at least 6-8 weeks of age. I hope this helps!

He is unlikely to respond well to vaccination at such a young age and protection would be limited and unreliable. He must be kept indoors and isolated from all dogs which have not been regularly vaccinated until at least 14 weeks in affected areas with vaccines given at 6, 9 and 12weeks for example. Ideally in badly affected areas the mother should receive a booster vaccine prior to mating to maximise protection passed on to pups

The most important thing to know is if your bitch is current on her Parvovirus vaccination. If so, then she has passed on immunity to the puppies. This immunity is good for several weeks after birth, and begins to wane as the puppies mature and develop their own immune systems. This is why we start vaccinating puppies around 6-8 weeks of age. Doing so sooner is not necessary, and may cause problems. So if mom is vaccinated, don't panic. 6 weeks should give you plenty of time as the immunity transferred from mom is still on board at this time. However, if you didn't deworm mom during the pregnancy she has potentially given the pups worms, and you can start deworming these pups at 2 weeks of age. Hope that helps!
