My dog has diarrhea but is happy and hungry. Should I feed him?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 5 months and 3 days old | 18 lbs

Although my Buddy's last poop was diarreah he is happy, energetic, wide awake, and hungry... He keeps going to his food station and looking into the empty hole where i put his food bowl. He has fresh clean water, but wants food and it brakes my heart to see him begging for food... Please help

I would have trouble resisting such a cute face as well! It would be best to withhold all food for 12-24 hours to give his GI tract a rest. You can resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts afterwards. Start with a tablespoon or two then gradually increase the amount. Feed until the stool is normal then transition slowly to his regular diet. If the diarrhea does not resolve or if he develops lethargy, vomiting, loss of appetite or abdominal pain then have him examined by your veterinarian.
