Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 4.1 lbs

My puppy who only has his first set of shots has a perfect circle of missing hair on his eye and the vet said it's not wringworm or mites; he has been scratching it

Poor ozzy! This is quite strange looking. I would ensure that the vet has scrapes to look for mites and sent off a culture for ringworm. Also know that the skin scrape isn't 100% so if it is negative it doesn't rule it out completely. The step would likely be to try some medications to treat bacterial or fungal infection or mange. The best option would be to have a biopsied done before starting a trial of medicine so you will have a diagnosis. I hope he starts to feel better!
