Poor Sniper, he's probably feeling pretty unwell. Blood in the feces can be a serious concern and there are several possible causes: it can be from a change of food/ treats or scraps that didn't agree with him. It could be a bacterial or viral infection such as Parvo, it could be from damage inside the guts from bones or eating something that got stuck. Also some parasites can cause this. After 3 days, I am concerned that it's not resolving, please take him to your vet as soon as you can. They will need to perform some tests such as examining his feces to try and determine why he is unwell. How he feels better soon!

Possible causes for this include dietary intolerance or indiscretion, food allergy, intestinal parasites, GI blockage, gastroenteritis, bacterial or viral infection (such as parvo if John wasn't properly vaccinated), among others. You can try a dewormer, pet probiotics, and bland diet (boiled chicken breast and cooked white rice), and make sure to get plenty of fluids into him. You might also want to call your local vet to see if they can help over the phone.
