10 year old boxer mix 120lbs. Local vet diagnosed him with bronchitis. Was gave 10-day tricycling pills 500mg i believe it was 6 a day for nasal discharge. It did slightly clear up. Two days after finishing dose it came back. Was placed on Minocycline 100mg 2 a day for 14 days it went away. 5 days later thick greenish nasal discharge returns. He is still eating drinking playing walking and sleeping as normal.

Poor Hubcap, at this stage at may be neccessary to perform further tests such as culture of the discharge, endoscopy or MRI to identify exactly where the infection is coming from and why it is not resolving completely with medication. Foreign bodies such as grass seeds and tumors or cysts can all cause ongoing infection/discharge which recurs despite appropriate antibiotic treatment. Schedule a recheck and consider referral to a specialist if required
