Why did my dog vomit white foam and won't eat but acts normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Toy Poodle | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 5.1 lbs

Hi my dog isn't eating. She is normally fussy so I take up the meal after minutes, training her. But today when I got home she vomit white foam. After that she still doesnt want to it. But she acts normal and still wants to play and run. Is she never hungry!? She eats balanced homecook meal as she is allergy to most food. But I reckon she gets very tired of the same meat every day altho we change the veges. Her stool is normal. I try mixing yogurt but she only lick away the yogurt. Helpp!

Changing food on Snowie often can cause GI upset, so it is best to stick with a regular, balanced diet for her. If she has food allergies, then switching to an allergy friendly diet can also help. As for the vomiting, it can sometimes happen if a dog has been too long in between meals, so feeding a bland meal of some boiled chicken and rice (if she can tolerate those ingredients) may help in addition to offering food more often throughout the day. If she continues to not want to eat, keeps vomiting, or does become lethargic or appears ill, then seeking veterinary care is best.
