My cat ate sago palm. Is it poisonous? When should I call the vet?

I am sorry to hear about Comet. If you think your kitty may have eaten Sago Palm, a visit to your vet right away is recommended. This plant is toxic and can have serious effects on the liver. Your vet may decide to induce vomiting or give activated charcoal to decrease the absorption of the plant and then may start liver supportive medications/supplements or check liver values to be sure we aren't seeing any effects on that organ.
