How to know if my cat is a purebred Persian without certifications?

Hello. I just a bought a cat and the breeder told me that this is purebred persian cat. It doesnt have certifications and all. I just wanna ask if my cat is really a purebred persian? Thanks a lot

I don't think we can verify the genetics of any cat without a genetic test, but this kitten it is tough to tell from the photos if he has the appearance of a persian cat, which normally have a flattened appearance to the face. But we cannot see a side-view here, so it is tough to say. If his face is flattened, the appearance is mild (but there can be variations within the breed). You can see examples here: http://cfa.org/Breeds/BreedsKthruR/Persian.aspx . If the breeder has the parents of this kitten that may give you more assurance. Either way, it is a very cute kitten!
