My stray cat has swollen eyes and open sores. What should I do?

Hi, we had a stray cat come to our house a coiple weeks ago. He is very friendly but looks a mess. His eyes have gotten swollen and has these open sores that have showed up all i the last week. He still eats and drinks water. Dont know what to do. We have gotten quite attached to him. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | 6 lbs

I would strongly advise to take him to the vet, he will probably need a course of antibiotics for all these sores, he will also need to be treated for fleas and his eyes needs to be checked as well, maybe he is suffering from an eye infection. if you decide to adopt him i strongly suggest that you get him neutered soon as well, it will prevent him from fighting outside and get injured.
